美国Bard环境政策中心向我所发来奖学金通知,欢迎环境法所的研究生申请!请感兴趣的同学仔细阅读下列通知,并登陆该中心网站查询详细信息! The Bard Center for Environmental Policy was recently awarded a grant from the Luce Foundation entitled 'Learning Across Borders'. We are now accepting applications for eligible young professionals to our admissions committee. Ideal candidates will possess all of the prerequisites for admission to the BCEP master's program (found online at www.bard.edu/cep), as well as at least two to three years of professional activity or a master’s degree in a related field. Luce scholarships are intended for one year of study, in which students will take full-year courses in environmental science, policy, law, and economics, as well as shorter courses in statistics, econometrics, research methods, and GIS technologies. At the end of that year, recipients will receive a professional certificate. If they wish to complete a master’s thesis and stay for a second year, they are responsible for securing the funding themselves. A total of five scholarships will be awarded for the 2007-2008 academic year. These scholarships include full tuition, fees, and housing in the graduate dormitory on campus in the amount of $25,520. Recipients of the scholarships are strongly encouraged to seek additional grants and scholarships to offset travel and living expenses for the one-year program. In order to bring a student to Bard for this opportunity, they need to be offered for consideration by what the grant terms a 'partner institution'. At present our partner institutions are located in South and Central America, Eastern Europe, and China, but we would like to form new partnerships with groups able to recommend students from South Asia, and in particular, Nepal.
