On April 10 to 11, 2019, the Polish scholar Dr. Hubert Kaczmarczyk, deputy director of the institute of law, economy and society and director of the legal clinic in Jan Kochanowski University, visited RIEL. Dr. Hu Bin, Associate Professor Wu Zhiliang and students from RIEL held cordial talks with Dr. Hubert Kaczmarczyk.

Dr. Hu Bin introduced the basic situation and international exchange work of RIEL. Associate Professor Wu Zhiliang introduced the operation and work progress of the environmental law clinic of Wuhan University (ELCWU). Dr. Hubert Kaczmarczyk said that RIEL enjoys a high reputation in European environmental law circle and he was impressed by the newly-built ELCWU. The purpose of his visit is to enhance the understanding and cooperation between the two sides.

Teachers and students from ELCWU had an in-depth discussion with Dr. Hubert Kaczmarczyk, which concerning the teaching mode, practice and case teaching method of environmental law clinic, students’ career planning, clinic financing, environmental litigation, etc. The two sides agreed that this meeting laid a good foundation for future cooperation and the two sides will strengthen cooperation in mutual visits, clinic education and other aspects.
