On the afternoon of April 26, 2019, the joint meeting of directors of key research base of humanities and social science of the ministry of education of Wuhan University was held in classroom 325. Prof. Qin Tianbao, Prof. Ke Jian, Dr. Hu Bin, Prof. Alexander Zahar, Dr. Wu Yu, Ms. Liu Mengyao and members of other bases attended this meeting. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Wang Penggang, the president of the academy of humanities and social science.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mrs. Ma Shujie, the vice president of the academy of humanities and social sciences, first reported the work of key research bases. Prof. Qin Tianbao, the director of RIEL, introduced the construction of RIEL in recent years and the future work plan. Mr. Shen Zhuanghai, deputy secretary of the party committee of Wuhan University, affirmed the achievements of each bases. Prof. Feng Guo, dean of law school, pointed out that the law school has supported the development of the bases and will continue to support the future development of RIEL.

It is reported that the purpose of this meeting is to review and summarize the development and the existing problems of each base in 2018. In the near future, RIEL will focus on stimulating the innovation vitality in the new period and serving the “double first-class” construction of Wuhan University.
