Master student Huang Nan from RIEL Won the Committee of 100 Leadership Scholarship

On December 1-2, 2018, the Committee of 100 held the China Annual Conference and the 13th Leadership Scholarship Program Awards Ceremony in Beijing. In the ceremony, Master student Huang Nan from RIEL was awarded the Leadership Scholarship.

For the Leadership Scholarship, Huang Nan expressed her thanks to the “international and practical” talent training mode in RIEL. RIEL has actively supported Master students to combine theoretical knowledge with practice to form a personalized growth model. To this end, RIEL has set up an environmental law clinic and moot court, invited representatives from government department and social organizations to give lectures, sponsoring students to take internships in various departments, etc.

It is reported that the Committee of 100 is a leadership organization of Chinese Americans in business, government, academia and the arts whose stated aim is “to encourage constructive relations between the people of the United States and Greater China”. It was founded in 1990 by I. M. Pei. And the Committee of 100 (C100)’s Leadership Scholarship Program (LSP) was launched in 2005 with the goal of recognizing and fostering the leadership potential of young Chinese students.
