On the morning of September 15, 2018, the seventy-fourth Luojia Lecture Series on Environmental Law was held in classroom 325 of law school. Prof. Sun Youhai, dean of the law school of Tianjin University, and Prof. Zhang Zhen from Southwest University of Political Science and Law were invited to give this lecture. The theme of this lecture is “Basic Theoretical Research of Environmental Law in the New Era”.

This lecture was chaired by PhD Ruan Yingqian from China University of Political science and Law, and PhD Jiao Yan from RIEL. Prof. Qin Tianbao, Prof. Ke Jian, Prof. Li Guangbing, Prof. Du Qun, associate Prof. Luo Ji, Prof. Wu Weixing from Nanjing University, Prof. Li Ainian from Hunan Normal University, Prof. Huang Jianming from Macau University of Science and Technology, Prof. Qin Peng from Chongqing University and about 80 PhD students from different universities attended this lecture.

At the beginning of the lecture, Prof. Sun Youhai and Prof. Zhang Zhen expressed their gratitude for being invited to the Luojia Lecture Series on Environmental Law. And then they gave reports respectively from different views. From the perspective of environmental management system and environmental law, Prof. Sun Youhai discussed the relationship between the environmental management organization law and the specialized law. The title of Prof. Zhang Zhen’s report is “The environmental view of China’s constitution and its normative expression”. He introduced that he understood environmental rights from three aspects: the study of environmental rights in the field of environmental law, the study of the relationship between environmental law and departmental law, and the study of the combination of environmental law and constitutional law. Afterwards, Prof. Wu Weixing and associate Prof. Luo Ji summarized and commented on the content of the lecture.

At the end of the lecture, associate Prof. Luo Ji presented the certificates to Prof. Sun Youhai and Prof. Zhang Zhen, and thanked them for providing a wonderful lecture. The lecture ended in a warm and relax atmosphere.
