RIEL Hosted the Fourth Issue of the Seventh Volume of the Journal of Climate Law

The day before, the seventh volume fourth issue of English academic journal, Climate Law, hosted by RIEL (Chinese called "climate law", ISSN1978-6553), was published by world-class academic publishers Brill press.

Climate Law was created in 2010 by Prof. Alexander Zahar, the chief editor. The journal aims to support scholars in international law and international relations to do forward and peer-reviewed theoretical and empirical research on climate change laws, regulations and governance, and is committed to serving scholars in the world.

The theme of the fourth phase of the seventh volume of the climate law is "climate migration", and a total of four research papers are included. Following the Paris agreement of 2015, with the reform of its legal system in order to fulfil its new international obligations, the field of climate change law will develop rapidly. However, there are still many legal challenges, including how to deal with the migration or displacement of communities currently being affected by climate change. The latest topics of climate law are concentrated in the Pacific lowland island countries and the local villages in Alaska. These two areas are faced with the risk of being overwhelmed due to the impact of climate change. The issue discussed the United States to accept cross-border climate migration options, Alaska native village relocation legal path, the United States to Alaska Beijing regional climate migrants federal and state control measures on climate and fragile island countries face problems in mechanism. The summary and full text of the fourth phase can be consulted on the web site (http://booksandjournals.brillonline.com/content/journals/18786561/7/4).
