May 17, 2017, 13th Luojia Environmental Law Forum was successfully held in the law school 325 classroom. The theme of this forum is "Soil Pollution Legislation", jointly organized by the Research Institute of Environmental Law of Wuhan University and Friends of Nature. There are more than 40 people attended this forum, they are representatives from the Wuhan University, Hunan Normal University and other colleges and universities, Friends of Nature, Changsha Shuguang Environmental Charity, Green Xiaoxiang and other environmental organizations and Guangdong Institute of Eco-Environment and Soil and Xuzhou City Intermediate People's Court and RIEL doctoral and master students.

At the beginning of the forum, Mr. Qin Tianbao and Mr. Zhang Boju have made speeches. Prof. Qin Tianbao pointed out that the problem of soil pollution is very prominent, the national soil pollution prevention and control law legislation basically entered into the historic phase, and Wuhan University and Friends of Nature both have some research and foundation, especially Friends of Nature is walking in the forefront of judicial practice. Therefore, the forum decided to choose such a theme as a starting point, as the basis for further cooperation. Prof. Qin Tianbao expressed his heartfelt thanks to all attendants and wished the meeting a complete success. Mr. Zhang Boju also pointed out that soil legislation is important and urgent, requires multiple social participations, so it is very important to strengthen cooperation in all aspects. Director Zhang Boju also expressed his welcome and gratitude to the presence of everyone and expressed his expectation that the forum would bring a brainstorm.

Under the chairmanship of Mr. Zhang Boju, six speakers delivered speeches on their own topics. Dr. Chen Nengchang's lecture theme is "the Status Quo of China's Soil Pollution". Director Ge Feng’s lecture theme is "the Status Quo and Related Issues China's Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Legislation". Prof. Du Qun's lecture theme is "the Review of Hubei Province Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Ordinance". Ms. Liu Hongli's topic is "Investigation and Problems of Soil Pollution in Hunan Province". Prof. Li Ainian's lecture theme is "the Legislation Practice of Hunan Province Soil Pollution Prevention and Control". President Li Juan 's lecture theme is "the Status Quo of Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Justice - Xuzhou Intermediate People' s Court Environmental Resources Trial Court judicial practice as a perspective".

After the six speakers lecture, Director Qin Tianbao presided over the follow-up session for discussion. In this session, the students have put forward their own questions; speakers have published their own views. Finally, Prof. Qin Tianbao summarized, and express gratitude again to everyone participated in the forum.
