RIEL has successfully held the 11th Luojia Environmental Law Forum

April 15, 2017, the eleventh Luojia Environmental Law Forum has been held smoothly in the law school room 325, this forum is also the fourth session of law sub-forum of Wuhan University Interdisciplinary Forum. The forum has invited Prof. Qi Jiangang from RIEL, Dr. Volker Mauerhofer of the University of Vienna, Austria, and Dr. Fu Yi of the University of Göttingen, Germany. They have made wonderful keynote speeches.

The forum was chaired by Prof. Qin Tianbao, Vice Dean of Law School and Director of RIEL, Prof. Feng Guo, Dean of Law School, Prof. Ke Jian, Prof. Zhang Zhiwei, Associate Prof. Li Guangbing, Associate Prof. Luo Ji, associate Prof. Liu Jing, Director Hu Bin and doctoral and master students of Environmental law attended the forum.

At the beginning of the forum, Dean Feng Guo made a speech for this forum. He gave a brief introduction of Wuhan University and Law School, hoping that through this forum the speakers could have a more in-depth understanding of Law School of WHU, and take this opportunity to attract the elites around the world to join. Then, the three speakers were explained for their own theme.

Prof. Qi Jiangang of RIEL, considering the close relationship between environmental law and administrative law, decided to give a lecture under the theme of "Research on several issues in environmental administrative law (science) as interdisciplinary study" Then, Dr. Voleker Mauerhofer made a keynote speech on "Sustainable Development and Environmental Law". Subsequently, Dr. Fu Yi gave a lecture on the theme of "Study on related issues of China to participate in the construction of the Mekong River water resources legal system".

During the forum, students have raised their own questions, to which all speakers have published their own views respectively; in the end, Dean Feng Guo summed up this forum and expressed gratitude to all the participants.
