Hu Baolin is guest on Luojia Lecture Series on Environmental Law

On the afternoon of April 18, 2017, the forty-seventh lecture of the Luojia Environmental Law Forum hold in classroom 325 of Law School. The forum was lucky enough to invite RIEL alumni Hu Baolin, who is the master student in RIEL in 1989. This forum is the second lecture of Director Hu Baolin, which is following the morning lecture of April 18 at RIEL (see the news on April 19). He gave a wonderful lecture entitled "Correct Analysis and Understanding of China's Environmental Threat".

This lecture was chaired by Prof. Li Qijia, Institute of Environmental Law, Wuhan University, Prof. Du Qun, Prof. Ke Jian, Associate Prof. Li Guangbing, Associate Prof. Luogi, Director Hu Bin and Ph.D. and Master Degree Students attended the lecture.

At the beginning of the lecture, Prof. Li Qijia gave a brief introduction of the relationship of Director Hu Baolin and RIEL, and then Hu Baolin start the lecture.

Director Hu Baolin first introduced the content and trend of China's environmental threat theory. He thinks the causes of environmental threats in China are multifaceted. Besides, Director Hu Baolin mentioned the environmental threats and challenges in international trade.

At the end of the lecture, Prof. Li Qijia gave a brief comment on the lecture of Hu Baolin. Prof. Li Qijia praised the lecture of Director Hu Baolin for he has used a wide range of materials in a proper manner, adopting a relaxed and lively way to tell a serious topic. Then, Prof. Du Qun also published her own views, Prof. Du Qun stated that any things with different positions have different views; we should focus on demand, pay attention to political diplomacy and balance such forces. Prof. Luoji also emphasized that students should learn from Director Hu Binglin of this perseverance, responsible for their own as well as the country. Director Hu Baolin encouraged students not to be afraid to take heavy responsibility, not to be afraid of the most ordinary work. After the lecture, students and Prof. Hu Baolin had a wide discussion. This lecture ended in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
