On the morning of January 11, 2017, the Expert Consultation on the Amendment to the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law (Draft) (hereinafter referred to as the Draft) and as the Legislative expert consultation of Law Society of China in 2017 (No. 77) was held in Beijing. Associate Professor Li Guangbing, Deputy Secretary General of Environmental Resources Law Research Association of China Law Society and director assistant of RIEL and Prof. Wang Wenge, Vice President of Environmental Law Law Society of China Law Society, Professor of School of Economics and Law, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, were invited to attend the meeting and made wonderful speeches. Prof. Qin Tianbao, Secretary General of China Law Society Environmental Resources Law Research Association, submitted written amendments. The symposium was chaired by Comrade Zhang Wenxang, member of the Chinese Law Society, vice chairman and vice chairman of the Academic Committee.

China Law Society launched a "legislative advisory opinion collection platform." from the beginning of the first issue of 2016, China Law Society will form a more detailed "expert consultation report" for the centre leaders and relevant departments' decision-making reference, according to the on-site speeches of the Legislative Consultative Committee and the amendments proposed online. Since its inception in January 2015, the China Law Society has organized more than 70 expert consultation sessions. The "expert consultation report" formed by the meeting was highly valued by the central leaders, the legislature and the relevant departments of the central government, and received significant results.
