International Yearbook of Soil Law and Policy 2016 co-edited by RIEL was published by Springer

Recently, International Yearbook of Soil Law and Policy 2016 co-edited by RIEL was published by Springer (International Authoritative Publishing House). Prof. Qin Tianbao is the co-editor of the book, and the “1000 talents plan” Prof. Ben BOER and Prof. Du Qun, served as advisers. The annual journal also includes Professor Ben BOER, Harald GINZKY, Irene L. HEUSER, "International Soil Protection Law: History, Concepts and Latest Developments" (included in pages 49 to 72 of the book), Professor Qin Tianbao and postgraduate student Dong Fang "Legislative Progress on Soil Contamination Prevention and Control in China" (included in pages 36 to 387 of the book).

This year's journal consists of four parts. The first part, "Words of Welcome from All Continents", contains congratulations from internationally renowned scholars and prominent politicians from various continents. The second part, "Recent Developments of Soil Regulation at International Level", introduces the latest developments in soil management at the international level. The third part, "Cross-Cutting Topics", introduces a number of topics that are closely related to the implementation of the "sustainable development goals", such as land use rights, access to food, and migratory rights, from an interdisciplinary perspective. The last part, "National and Regional Soil Legislation", introduces the latest developments in soil legislation, including China, Brazil, the European Union, Mongolia, Namibia, the United States and other countries and regions.

It was reported that the annual publication was published as part of the Springer press legal portfolio, which allowed the book to be widely distributed internationally. At the same time, the book is RIEL once again in the International Authoritative Publishing House published its English academic works following Professor Ben BOER published in Oxford University Press Environment Limited, Human Rights, published in Routledge Press The Mekong: A Socio-legal Approach to River Basin Development and Professor Qin Tianbao in Edward Elgar Publishing House published in the Chinese Environmental Law. The publication of these works in English greatly enhances the visibility and international influence of RIEL, and also promotes a solid pace for our school’s environmental law disciplines towards the world-class discipline.
