Prof. Dou Xiaodong held a opening report for his National Social Science Major Project

On the morning of March 22nd, RIEL Professor Dou Xiaodong of Ningbo University held report at Ningbo University for a 2016 National Social Science Fund Major Project on the definition of environmental responsibility for social source hazardous waste and legal governance for which he has been as the chief expert. RIEL Professor Cai Shouqiu and Professor Li Qijia as a major project experts participated in this report.

Before the report, there was a first opening ceremony presided by Vice President Xu Tiepeng of Ningbo University. President Shen Manhong first delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Ningbo University. After the opening ceremony, the chief expert Professor Dou Xiaodong reported five aspects of the project, the project's basic theory and methods, comparative research, system, responsibility and practical operation; after listen to the report, experts discussed and gave specific suggestions refer to sub-subject logic relations and content characteristics of the project. They reckoned that the project has highlighted its strong pertinence, necessity, feasibility, clear structure, logical rigor, scientific and reasonable content, and is of important practical significance. They also suggested that the project team could further to combine the existing theoretical summary and the project content, pay more attention to the field of empirical research, refine the content, highlight the research focus, so that the project results can directly serve the national policy and legal practice. Finally, the experts agreed that the project has completed the preparatory work well and can be further advanced to the next stage of in-depth research.
