The 10th Luojia Forum on Environmental Law successfully held
On 26 November, 2016, the 10th Luojia Forum on Environmental Law with the theme of “The Development of Chinese Environmental Law: A Dialogue between Theory and Practice” was held by RIEL. Nearly 40 experts and scholars from national ministries and commissions, universities, research institutes and environmental NGOs participated in the forum.
At 9 am, the opening Ceremony was chaired by Prof. Li Guangbing, and the director of RIEL Prof. Qin Tianbao delivered the opening speech. Aiming to reviewing history, focusing on reality and looking forward to the future, this forum was of special significance.
This forum was divided into two parts: keynote speech and discussion. Prof. Li Qijia gave a keynote speech with the theme of “The Epochal Character of Environmental Law”, which aroused heated discussion and profound comments. The discussion session included three units: environmental management system, environmental law enforcement, and environmental legislation and theoretical research, in which Yao Sijin, Huang Kaizhi, Tang Zhonghui, Zhao Shengjun, Ge Feng, Feng Jingyao, Yu Yaojun, Tou Xiaodong, Hu Jing, Liao Jiankai and other experts and scholars shared their opinions.
