RIEL held a symposium on Judge Staff Reform and Environmental Justice Specialization

On December 30, 2016, the symposium on the writing of environmental justice specialized legal documents was successfully held at RIEL of Wuhan University. The meeting was organized by the National "2011 Plan" Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization, the Supreme People's Court Environmental Resources Judicial Theory Research Base (Wuhan University), China Law Society Legal Literature Research Association, Huazhong Normal University School of Law co-organized, Huazhong Normal University application Law and Law Society Institute and Wuhan University Institute of Environmental Law hosted. Experts and scholars engaging in the study of legal literature writing research and environmental resources law research from Wuhan University, China University of Political Science and Law, Central China University of Economics and Law, Central China Normal University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Henan University of Economics and Law, Jianghan University, Fujian Normal University, Shanxi Politics and Law Cadre School of Management, Guangxi Politics and Cadre School of Management and other institutions of higher learning attended the meeting. Also attending the meeting were senior judges and lawyers engaging in environmental resources trial work, judicial reform and legal reform of the work of the work from the Higher People's Court of Jiangsu Province, Hubei Provincial Higher People's Court, Fuzhou Intermediate People's Court, Wuhan Maritime Court, Hanjiang Intermediate People's Court, Wuhan Intermediate People's Court, Wuhan Qingshan District People's Court, Wuhan Hongshan District People's Court, Dewell & Partners and other substantive departments.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Yang Kai, president of Applied Law and Law Society Research Institute of Huazhong Normal University. Supreme People's Court Environmental Resources Judicial Theory Research Center (Wuhan University) Director Professor Wang Shuyi and Wuhan Maritime Court full-time judicial committee members senior judge Hou Zhenkun delivered warm speech respectively.

The theme of the meeting was devoted to the theme "Judicial staff reform and environmental justice specialization", which was divided into three special topics for keynote speeches and focused discussions. The morning symposium was chaired by the Senior Judge of Wuhan Maritime Court, Hou Zhenkun, to discuss the theme of "the impact of the reform of the staffing system on the sustainable development of environmental justice specialization" and the promotion of the reform of the judicial staff system on the professional construction of environmental judges. Afternoon symposium was presided by the Wuhan University Institute of Environmental Law Professor Luoji over the theme of "Judge staff reform and the establishment of environmental resources trial special court."

After the symposium, Prof. Yang Kai of Huazhong Normal University presided over the closing ceremony of the conference, summarized the academic point of view of this symposium and represented the law school of Huazhong Normal University, Applied Law and Law and Society Research Institute to express appreciation for the attandance of all the experts, scholars and the judges and their heartfelt thanks for the support provided by the National Center for Synergistic Innovation of Judicial Civilization and the Institute of Environmental Law of Wuhan University.
