WHU wins runner-up in 5th Model Environmental Court

On November 12-13, 2016, The 5th National College Students Model Environmental Court was held at Hohai University. After two days of intense competition, Wuhan University won the runner-up, while Chongqing University won the championship and Shandong University of Science and Technology and Xiangtan University tied for third place.

Prof. Li Guangbing of RIEL serves as the coach of WHU team, and assistant coach is the Dr. Liu Lin. In order to select outstanding players, the double knockout method was adopted to comprehensively examine students’ thinking, response, eloquence and other capabilities. Finally the team was made up with Liu Lin, Li Huaqi, Gao Han, Lan Ying, Kang Yao, Xia, Lang, Zhang Yunfan, Zhang Yuhua, Wang Peihan, Zhang Yujun. After the selection, the team carried out a series of careful and meticulous preparation, and read a lot of references to the case. In the competition, WHU team performed calmly in the trial, showing their full preparation of the materials and excellent case analysis.
