2016年环境法博士生论坛成功举办

The 2016 Doctoral Forum on Environmental Law successfully held

On September 27-28, the 2016 Doctoral Forum on “Environmental Law and Environmental Justice under the Green Philosophy” was successfully held by RIEL. Dozens of doctoral students from Wuhan University, Renmin University of China, Jilin University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Chongqing University, Ocean University of China, Shanghai University of Finance and other universities nationwide participated in this forum.

The opening ceremony was held on the morning of September 27, Prof. Qin Tianbao, and Prof. Li Zhiping from Sun Yat-sen University attended and delivered warm speeches. In the stage of expert report, Prof. Su Yiyuan from Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, gave an excellent presentation entitled “Environment and Human Rights - Minamata Convention on Mercury”. The forum also invited Prof. Kamiyama from Toyama University, Japan to give an expert lecture on “Norm Localization in Domestic Practices: An Analysis on Implementing Convention on Biological Diversity(CBD) in Japan”. After the reports, Assoc. Prof. Li Guangbing, Prof. Qiu Qiu and Dr. Liu Jing respectively gave wonderful comments and had a heated discussion.

The forum was divided into four sections including “environmental legislation under the green concept”, “environmental governance under the green concept”, “environmental justice under the green concept”, “the harmony and integration of green governance in the global context”. Dozens of doctoral students from various universities nationwide conducted academic exchanges and launched a warm academic discussion on different topics.
