The delegation of Vermont Law School visits RIEL
On the afternoon of August 1, 2016, Prof. Lin Xiaodie, the director of the American-Asian Environmental Law Cooperative Project of Vermont Law School, deputy director Prof. Lin Yanmei, and project supervisor Ms. Zhuang Yu, visited RIEL, and had a discussion with Prof. Qin Tianbao on inter-institute cooperation.
Prof. Qin Tianbao gave a warm welcome to three scholars and briefly introduced RIEL’s development and international cooperation with other universities and institutions. He said that RIEL is the earliest and largest institution on environmental law research in China, which had been serving the national environmental legislation, law enforcement, and environmental diplomacy in recent years. The cooperation between RIEL and Vermont Law School has a long history, therefore today's exchanges are crucial to further strengthen the cooperation between two institutions.
Prof. Lin Xiaodie expressed her gratitude to warm reception. Subsequently, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the specific contents and cooperation forms around the areas of “students, teachers and research”. In the end, RIEL reached a consensus with Vermont on setting summer courses for students, the two-way exchange of visiting teachers and academic research projects.
