Alax SEE supervisor Zhou Zhou et al. visits RIEL

On September 6, 2016, Mr. Zhou Zhou, the supervisor of Alxa Society of Entrepreneurs and Ecology, and its deputy secretary general of North China Mr. Yu Cheng visited RIEL and was interviewed by Prof. Qin Tianbao, Assoc. Prof. Li Guangbing and Dr. Hu Bin.

Prof. Qin Tianbao first briefly introduced the history of RIEL and detailed its talent training, academic research, advisory service and international exchanges. He especially gave a briefing on RIEL’s contacts with environmental NGOs at home and abroad in the field of environmental public interest litigation, as well as the participation in national and local legislation and think tank construction. Mr. Zhou expressed the willingness to further strengthen the contact and cooperation between Alxa SEE and RIEL, exploring the new pattern of cooperation among entrepreneurs, environmental NGOs and environmentalists by providing environmental legal advisory services to the NPC deputies and CPPCC members in the entrepreneurs in the proposal of environmental legislation, further enhancing the intellectual support of environmental law scholars and promoting the construction of environmental law in China. The two sides reached a preliminary intention to further cooperation on the details in the future.
