2016年度中国环境资源法治高端论坛在武汉大学成功举行

The 2016 China Summit Forum on Environmental Rule of Law successfully held in WHU

On July 13-15, 2016, the inauguration ceremony of China Law Society Environmental and Resources Research Phalanx and the 2016 China Summit Forum on Environmental Rule of Law was successfully held in WHU. With the theme of “Legal Issues on Prevention and Control of Soil Pollution in the Context of Ecological Civilization”, the forum attracted several experts and scholars and a number of legal workers and practitioners.

On the morning of July 14, the inauguration ceremony of China Law Society Environmental and Resources Research Phalanx, chaired by Prof. Li Qijia, was held at Room 325 of law school building, WHU. Prof. Cai Shouqiu delivered a warm speech, actively proposing that experts and scholars make innovative research in order to strengthen the prevention and control of soil pollution in China.

The forum was divided into three modules: theme report, special issues discussion and youth roundtable forum. First, Prof. Lv Zhongmei, Feng Zhigang, Lin Dan, and Prof. Chen Demin, Prof. Zhou Ke, Prof. Li Zhiping, Prof, Wang Shuyi, Prof. Qin Tianbao made keynote speeches respectively. Next, participants discussed “the legislation of soil pollution prevention and control”, “the system design for soil pollution control”, “the judicial protection of soil pollution prevention and control”, and “local and foreign practices of soil pollution prevention and control”. After that, four young scholars exchanged opinions around “the legislation of soil pollution control and system design” in the youth roundtable forum.
