中国环境资源法学研究会2016年年会在武汉大学成功举办

The 2016 Annual Meeting of China Association for Environmental and Resources Law successfully held in WHU

The 2016 Annual Meeting of China Association for Environmental and Resources Law(CAERL), sponsored by CAERL and RIEL was successfully held in July 15-17, 2016. The meeting, with the theme of “the development and perfection of environmental law in the new situation”, was attended by nearly 200 scholars and experts in environmental law from more than 100 research institutes.

The meeting consisted of keynote speech and discussion. In the first unit, Prof. Lv Zhongmei made a keynote speech entitled “Judicial Issues in Carbon Emissions Trading”; Xu Qianfei, the president of the Jiangsu Provincial Higher People's Court, reported on “The Case Review of Taizhou Environmental Public Interest Litigation”; Zhai Yong gave a speech on “The New Situation of China's Environmental and Resources Legislation”; and finally Prof. Wang Shuyi talked about “What kind of Soil Legislation We Need”.

On July 16-17, experts and scholars warmly discussed and explored “the amendment of Water Pollution Prevention Law”, “the codification of environmental legislation”, “the reform of sewage discharge permission”, “the reform of ecological environment damage compensation”, which achieved a good communication effect.
