Teachers of RIEL attend “Symposium on Green and Shared Development and Legal Guarantee”

On June 5, 2016, the founding conference of Environmental and Resources Protection Law Branch of Tianjin Law Society and “Symposium on Green and Shared Development and Legal Guarantee” were held in Tianjin. Prof. Cai Shouqiu, Prof. Qin Tianbao, alumni Prof. Lv Zhongmei, Prof. Zhang Jianwei and Dr. Feng Ru participated in the symposium.

Prof. Sun Youhai, the dean of law school of Tianjin University, was selected as the director of Environmental and Resources Protection Law Branch of Tianjin Law Society. Prof. Zhang Jianwei, the alumnus of RIEL, was elected the deputy director and secretary general, and Dr. Feng Ru, the member of the council. Prof. Cai Shouqiu, on behalf of China Research Institute for Environmental and Resources Law, congratulated the foundation of Tianjin branch and expected branches all over the country could strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation in the future, providing a solid intellectual support for China's green development.

The “Symposium on Green and Shared Development and Legal Guarantee” was after the foundation ceremony, in which Prof. Cai Shouqiu and Prof. Lv Zhongmei gave special reports entitled “China’s Environmental Law during Ecological Civilization Construction” and the “Legislative Conception of Yangtze River Basin”, respectively. Prof. Qin Tianbao made a statement in the first unit of “Legal Issues on Ecological Protection” and commented in the second unit. Alumnus Prof. Zhang Jianwei presided over the discussion of the third unit concerning “Legal Issues on Environmental Damage Identification”.
