Major Project “Legal Mechanism of Energy Efficiency Management under the Background of Climate Change” successfully starts

On the morning of May 21, 2016, the project“Legal Mechanism of Energy Efficiency Management under the Background of Climate Change”, which is the major project of Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education (Research Institute of Environmental Law, WHU) , was started at the China University of Political Science and Law. Prof. Yu Wenxuan was responsible for the project.

The project initiation meeting was chaired by Prof. Wang Canfa, from China University of Political Science and Law. Prof. Qin Tianbao, the director of RIEL and Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education participated in the meeting. Other participants included Prof. Li Yanfang and Prof. Zhu Xiao from Renmin University of China, as assessment experts, and Assoc. Prof. Deng Haifeng from Tsinghua University, Assoc. Prof. Wang Shekun from Peking University, Assoc. Prof. Gong Xiangqian from Beijing Institute of Technology and Assoc. Prof. Cao Zhiguo from North China Electric Power University, as project members.

In the initiation meeting, the project leader Prof. Yu Wenxuan gave a report on the research significance, current situation, framework, basic contents, objectives, main innovation, research programs, research achievements, etc. After hearing the report, the assessment experts confirmed the overall design framework of the project, and made many constructive comments on specific implementation. After that, many project members had an in-depth discussion on improving the contents and methods. Finally, Prof. Qin Tianbao made a summary statement and put forward project proposals and demands
