Prof. Marleen Van Rijswick visits Luojia Lecture Series on EL

On October 2015, at the invitation of Prof. Qin Tianbao, Prof. Marleen Van Rijswick , the famous expert on European and international water law visited RIEL and held a series of lectures with the theme of international environmental law for postgraduate students.

The lecture series was divided into seven parts, the first of which was conducted on October 12, Professor Van Rijswick began her speech with the concept of law. Seven themes of the lecture series are: general introduction and history of international and European environmental law; harmonisation, implementation and enforcement of European environmental Law; general principles of environmental policy; international and European environmental law; the EU approach of water law: transboundary cooperation; atmosphere, climate change and air pollution; international and European nature conservation law.

In the nine-day lecture series, Prof. Van Rijswick clearly, specifically and vividly talked about the main areas of her research, during which she interacted frequently with students and patiently answered questions, deeply impressing every participant.
