Prof. Wang Shuyi attends 2015 Annual General Meeting of CCICED

On November 9, 2015, the 2015 Annual General Meeting of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) was held in Beijing, Zhang Gaoli, the Vice Premier of PRC and the chairman of CCICED, attended the 2015 opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Prof. Wang Shuyi, Assoc. Prof. Luo Ji, Alumni Dr. Bie Tao and Prof. Wang Jing participated in this annual meeting. Prof. Wang and Assoc. Prof. Luo have undertaken the 2015 CCICED project of “Research on Soil Pollution Management”, as the project leader of Chinese side, Prof. Wang gave a keynote report and put forward relevant policy proposals on soil pollution management. Alumnus Prof. Wang Jing is also this year’s Chinese member of CCICED.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Gaoli said, “‘Thirteen Five’ is the decisive stage of China’s building a moderately prosperous society. China is willing to work with relevant parties to struggle for a comprehensive, balanced, strong and new agreement in Paris Conference to, which is going to be a milestone for the global climate governance.” During the meeting, a series of reports and policy recommendations will be discussed by experts and members of CCICED, and ultimately formed a policy recommendation to the Chinese Government .This annual general meeting was divided into 3 in-depth discussions: the first is green “One Belt And One Road”, the second is the green tank and green transformation, and the third is green finance and G20.
