General Secretary of Green Anhui Zhou Xiang visits Luojia Lecture Series on EL

On October 19, 2015, Zhou Xiang, the general secretary of Green Anhui, visited Luojia Lecture Series on Environmental Law and gave a fantastic speech for all teachers and students of REIL.

As the founder of Green Anhui which is an environmental organization, Zhou Xiang first briefly introduced the organization’s establishment background, constitutions, missions and focus areas. Then he pointed out the project developments and strategic plans of the Green Anhui with a specific description of its long-term goals and five sub-goals. Zhou Xiang also showed the direct and indirect output of the project by introducing Green Anhui’s activities on environmental protection, legal training for enterprises, legislation promotion and inter-provincial hazardous waste dumping. After the speech, Prof. Li Guangbing made a short comment and Prof. Li Qijia shared his views on operating funds and future development of environmental organizations.

It is reported that Zhou Xiang was the first representative of environmental organizations invited by RIEL, he shared his personal experience, which inspired every participant’ interest, expanded their horizons and deepened their understanding of environmental organizations.
